In Plain English is a tech-focused media company founded in 2018.

We are home to some of the world's most recognisable tech publications - JavaScript In Plain English and Python In Plain English. We have over 10,000 writers and 20,000 articles.

Our platform receives over 3,500,000 views every month from over 200 countries.

Being from the background we are, we are aware of how personal, geographic, and financial issues can make access to higher education unattainable. Therefore, we decided to create Stackademic, an initiative designed to teach people how to code for free.

Launched in 2021, our mission is to democratise the learning space. During our first cohort, lessons were taught weekly via remote video classes, along with a heavy focus on project-based learning. While we have plans to bring back weekly lessons in the near future, we have made available all of the recordings on our free YouTube channel.

We plan to launch a podcast, monthly tech events, and a mental health initiative, focused on improving the wellbeing of people within the tech community, and also outside of it.

Check out our Partnerships page if you would like to find out more about how we can work together. Alternatively, check out Circuit, a growth-hacking agency we created to help tech startups deliver their products to the tech community.
