How One Person Is Using AI to Turn ADHD Into a Superpower

The voice-first app that creates bite-sized tasks—designed for the ADHD mind.

Luxembourg — Benjamin Shafii, a recognized technology leader and co-founder of Embedbase, has transformed a personal challenge into an innovative solution, positioning himself as a pioneer in productivity tools. Diagnosed with ADHD as a child, Benjamin faced difficulties staying organized, which ultimately led to the creation of Hypr—a groundbreaking voice-first app designed to help users manage tasks effortlessly.

From ADHD Struggles to Innovation

“Growing up with ADHD, managing information was overwhelming,” Benjamin shares. “I needed a tool that could simplify my life.” Hypr is a play on words, inspired by both hyperactivity and hyperproductivity. It transforms what many perceive as a weakness into a superpower by breaking down overwhelming tasks into small, manageable steps specifically designed to fit the ADHD mind.

Hypr aims to make task management frictionless, allowing users to focus on what matters most without getting overwhelmed. The voice-first feature is tailored for those with ADHD, making it easy to create tasks as they come to mind—even if it’s late at night when remembering an important, forgotten task. By breaking down tasks into smaller, actionable steps, Hypr ensures that users can stay on track and never miss a deadline again.

From Embedbase to Hypr

Benjamin’s journey began with Embedbase, an API for managing embeddings—numerical representations of data that allow information to be categorized and processed by AI more efficiently. Embedbase, accepted into Orange DAO, received early funding and mentorship from notable industry figures, which helped shape Hypr’s development. “Orange DAO connected us to a network of YC alumni who provided guidance and helped us scale,” says Benjamin.

Before Hypr, Benjamin developed File Organizer 2000, an AI-powered tool that automatically organized files within Obsidian, allowing users to categorize documents effortlessly. This was his first step towards addressing organizational challenges through technology. The lessons learned from building File Organizer 2000 were instrumental in developing Hypr, which evolved into a more advanced product focused on task management for ADHD minds. Hypr builds upon the AI-powered organizational capabilities of File Organizer 2000, adding voice-first task management and hyperproductivity features to help users stay effortlessly organized.

Leveraging Embedbase Technology

By leveraging Embedbase’s technology, Hypr uses AI to categorize and organize digital information efficiently. It can automatically sort documents into relevant folders, extract key tasks from messages, and group related files together, making it easier for users to find what they need. “Hypr is more than just a document manager; it acts as a personal assistant, helping people stay focused and organized,” says Benjamin.

Transforming Productivity

For individuals with ADHD or those overwhelmed by information overload, Hypr offers a voice-first, user-friendly solution that turns scattered files and tasks into a structured workflow. The app’s focus on hyperproductivity ensures that users can effortlessly manage their responsibilities.
