The VIRAL ChatGPT Prompt that Will Help Your Life (and Career)

This ChatGPT prompt has been going viral, and it is really powerful.

I’m going to share it with you — plus I’ll add in some of my own secrets to make it far better and more useful.

Make sure you read the entire article, because this process is awesome.

Before you use this prompt, you need to first make sure you are taking advantage of ChatGPT’s memory (Don’t worry, memory is free for all users now)

First, you need to tell ChatGPT as much as possible about you.

I’m not talking about your name, birthday, and favorite food.

I’m talking about real insights that make you the person you are.

If you don’t have a paid Medium account, you can read for free here.

For example, you should tell ChatGPT:

  • Your career, your interests, where you’ve lived, where you went to school, your major
  • Things you like and don’t like
  • Your career and financial goals. Do you have a family? Are you married?
  • Your psychology (your fears, your dreams). Are you a nervous person? Do you like public speaking?
  • What are you good at, what are you bad at?
  • Do you speak a second language? What special skills or talents do you have?
  • What do you wish was better about your life?
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  • (I don’t want to limit you here. Just share as much as possible about ChatGPT that you can think of)
  • The more unique and interesting information you can share, the better.

Note: Don’t share things like your credit card number, your passwords, or things like that (just to be on the safe side)

Here is where the magic happens:

You ask ChatGPT:

Tell me something about myself that I didn’t already know.

This is where LLMs can shine.

In some ways, ChatGPT will know you better than you know yourself.

Even if you know everything you have uploaded into ChatGPT memory, your brain is too small to be thinking of all of that information at the same time.

ChatGPT is able to combine all of that information, and come up with unique angles and insights for you.

If you don’t like the first response, you can then say:

Dig deeper. Give me some really unique insights. Be creative. Don’t worry if you are wrong. I just want you to help stretch my imagination.

Remember I told you that I said it could help your career?

Well, after doing these first couple of prompts, you can say:

Help me brainstorm ways I can use my unique life experience to improve my career.

Or

Based on my experience, what are some interesting side hustles I could start?

Or

Give me ideas how I can update my LinkedIn profile to attract more future employers

I think you get the idea.

The point is to give chatGPT as much information as you can think of. Then you take advantage of its power by asking it for unique insights about yourself.
