I've often found myself working with data that contains undefined values. These values can cause issues with data manipulation and can lead to unexpected behavior in your code. In this article, I'll show you a few different ways to remove undefined values from an object in JavaScript.

First, let's start by creating an object that contains some undefined values:

const data = {
  name: "John",
  age: undefined,
  address: {
    city: "New York",
    state: undefined,
  },
  hobbies: ["reading", undefined, "traveling"],
};

Method 1: Using the Object.entries() and filter() methods

One way to remove undefined values from an object is to use the Object.entries() method to get an array of key-value pairs, and then use the filter() method to remove any pairs where the value is undefined. Here's an example:

const cleanData = Object.entries(data)
  .filter(([key, value]) => value !== undefined)
  .reduce((obj, [key, value]) => {
    obj[key] = value;
    return obj;
  }, {});

console.log(cleanData);

This will give you a new object with all the key-value pairs where the value is not undefined.

Method 2: Using the for...in loop
